Which Social Media Platform Generates the Most ROI?
By Latisha S. | latisha@pancakedigitalsolutions.com
When we are investing time and money into anything, we want to make sure that there is some kind of ROI (return on investment). Otherwise, it can seem kind of “pointless” to keep putting our efforts there. This leads us to the question of which social media platform generates the most ROI?
The answer might surprise you…
There isn’t ONE platform that is guaranteed to generate the most ROI for all businesses.
I know, so disappointing, right?
But, just because there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer, that doesn’t mean that you can’t figure out which social media platform generates the most ROI for YOUR business.
There are a few ways that you can learn which platform will deliver the most ROI for YOUR business.
Know Your Audience
I can’t stress this enough. You must know your audience!
- Who are they? (Male, female, married, single, divorced, kids, no kids, etc)
- Where do they hang out online?
- What are their hobbies?
The more you know about your audience, the better you will be able to serve them. And you’ll know exactly which platform where you will receive the biggest ROI.
What Platform/s Do You Like/Dislike?
The next step to finding the platform where you will see the biggest ROI is to think about what platform (or platforms) you are most comfortable with.
Do you love Facebook but are clueless when it comes to Twitter?
Or maybe Instagram is your jam and you are totally bored on Facebook.
Make a pros and cons list of each platform and select your top one or two platforms and then…
Find the Common Theme
Once you really know your audience and you’ve found the one or two platforms that you enjoy, look to see if the platforms that you have chosen, are where your audience is hanging out as well!
This is your “common theme”. The sweet spot for making sure that you find the best platform for the most ROI is by finding the platform where your audience is and where you ENJOY being as well!
On the Table…
Even though there isn’t just one “perfect” platform for every business, it doesn’t mean that you can’t find the perfect platform for YOUR business. You just have to find the common themes between your audience and the platform or platforms that you are using.
