Master Your Time in 3 Easy Steps

It’s something that we all want more of, but NO ONE can ever receive more of it.

What is it you ask?

Time!

9 times out of 10 if you ask someone what their biggest struggle is in business, or even just in life, their answer will be, “I just need more time!”

Unfortunately, we all have the same 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But, don’t get discouraged! There is a way that you can learn to manage your time well and effectively. Read on to learn how you can master your time in 3 easy steps.

The Power of One

This is the biggest thing that you can do for your life and business! Start by picking ONE task that absolutely MUST be done that day and complete that task before you do anything else. This way if you wake up to a sick kid or a car broken down, you know that you will be ok because you only have that ONE thing to focus on today.

Time Blocking

I love time blocking! Set aside time for each task and even set your alarm so that you don’t go over that time. This helps to 1) keep you focused and 2) keep you organized 3) keep you from forgetting something important!

I like to set up notifications and alarms on my Google calendar and then sync it with my phone. This way I get an alert on my phone letting me know I have a specific task to get done that day.

Planner

My favorite planner is actually an online program and app called Trello. We’ve talked about it in previous blog posts, but I wanted to bring it back up again.

Trello makes it so easy to create a list of plans! I like creating my big, overall goals and then breaking them down into smaller, manageable goals. For example, Yearly goals à Quarterly goals à Monthly goals à Weekly goals è Daily goals.

On the Table…

Although no one can add more time to their day, we can all learn to master the time that we do have with a little creative planning and organization!
